What Should You Know Before Taking a Bus in Vietnam?
26 August 2026 · 2 min read

HOW EARLY SHOULD YOU ARRIVE AT THE PICK-UP POINT, AND IS THE PICK-UP POINT A BUS STATION?

You should arrive at the pick-up point at least 30 minutes before departure. This gives you enough time to check in, confirm your booking details, and get ready to board the bus. More importantly, arriving early allows you to manage your time better and avoid missing your bus, which could affect the rest of your travel plans.
Is the pick-up point a bus station?
Not necessarily! A pick-up point can be the bus company’s office, a designated pick-up location, or sometimes a bus station, depending on the route and bus operator.
📍 To avoid any confusion, make sure to check the pick-up information on your booking carefully before departure and arrive at the exact location provided.
IS HOTEL PICK-UP AVAILABLE? DO I NEED TO SHOW MY BOOKING CONFIRMATION?

Some bus routes offer Hotel Pick-up in central areas, such as Da Lat – Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat – Nha Trang, Sapa – Hanoi,... Contact your booking provider to check and request hotel pick-up.
📄 Your Booking Confirmation includes the pick-up point, departure time, and booking code. Save it on your phone or print it out for an easier check-in.
IS THERE A REST STOP DURING THE JOURNEY? WHAT SHOULD YOU KEEP IN MIND WHEN GETTING OFF THE BUS?

Long-distance bus journeys usually have rest stops where passengers can take a break, have a meal, or use the restroom. 🚌
Before getting off the bus, check your passport, phone, luggage, and personal belongings carefully. Most importantly, make sure to return to the bus on time so you don’t miss your journey!
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK THE INFORMATION BEFORE DEPARTURE!
Before your departure date, please double-check the pick-up time, pick-up location, and drop-off location to ensure all information is correct. If you have any questions, please contact us for prompt assistance.
