A broad-based General Accounting role is involves performing a variety of financial tasks and responsibilities within an organization. Ensure the accounting of company in compliance with the accounting principles and other governing law in Vietnam and respond to issue financial & internal reports accurately, timely and sufficiently. The role requires managing the timely and accurate completion as well as review of accounts and associated outputs. General Accountants are responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records, statements, and transactions of a company. Their role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information.

Overall, the role of a General Accountant requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and stability of an organization by ensuring accurate recordkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance.

As a General Accounting the role carries a primary function – driven by one or more functional specialisms, in this instance on-boarding and audit experience as well as a secondary function which is generic and entails accounting, drafting of reports and review of the entries/accounts passed by Junior Accountants.

• Prior experience of developing and implementing processes and a strong understanding of subsidiaries and their parent companies is essential
• Highly Numerate, able to produce accurate work with a strong attention to detail.
• A previous record of managing small teams would be an advantage
• Equally desirable is a strong background and successful track record of completing audits to budget and on time.
• You will be accurate and have attention to detail, with the ability to lead virtual teams and conduct root-cause problem solving. You are results orientated and solution focused, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with tight deadlines.
• Must be able to own an issue fully until satisfactory resolution.
• As the roles sits in a growing company, you are willing to get into the detail and catch additional tasks set out for the team and also to cover for when team members are away.

B. Pre-Requisites

• Qualified Accountant, university degree in related field
• Minimum 3 -10+ years experience.
• Excellent communicator in Vietnamese and English
• Audit Background from a Top 10 firm would be a significant advantage
• Advanced standard MS Office suite, especially Word & Excel.
• Advanced skills in accounting software such as Misa or others as applicable
• Right to work in Vietnam.
